FUNDAMENTAL INFORMATION
This Agreement covers the use of the Taxengine.com online income tax preparation program.  To proceed you must read this Agreement and indicate your acceptance of it by clicking the 'I Accept' button below. Clicking 'I do not Accept' button will return you to the Home page.

COPYRIGHT
This program and related site screens and elements are copyrighted.  Nothing from this site may be reproduced, copied, republished, modified, uploaded or distributed in any way without the written permission of Taxengine.Com.

LIMITED WARRANTY
This program is provided 'as is' and without warranty of any kind.  The entire risk as to the results and performance of the program is assumed by you.  Taxengine.Com does not warranty, guarantee, or make any representations regarding the use, or the results of, the program in terms of correctness, accuracy, or reliability, and you rely on the program and results solely at your own risk.

SECURITY AND STORAGE
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your User ID and Password.  Although Taxengine.com has taken reasonable measures to protect the security of your tax return information, Taxengine.com (i) does not guarantee the security of information collected during your use of the Services, (ii) shall not be liable in any way for a compromise of your data, and (iii) except to the extent required by applicable law, has no obligation to store or maintain any information you provide to it. You agree to print or save a copy of your tax return for your records.

USE
The intended use of this website is for individuals to prepare and electronically file their own tax returns as self-prepared returns.   The site does not allow for professional tax preparers to prepare taxes for individuals.  If a professional tax preparer attempts to use this site to prepare individual's tax returns they may be in violation of federal and state tax laws and regulations.  Taxengine.com reserves the right to report the abuse of this site by professional tax preparers to the appropriate authorities.  Taxengine.com reserves the right to refuse service to any individual that engages in abusive behavior including but not limited to a tax professional using this site and charging individuals for professional tax preparation.

You cannot file more than five returns electronically using the same e-mail response address.  This is the control Taxengine.com uses to comply with IRS Electronic Filing requirements

AGE
Because of the financial nature of Taxengine.com we do not knowingly appeal to or collect information from minors.  You must be over 18 years of age to use this site.

ELECTRONIC FILING
If you choose to file your tax return electronically, it will be forwarded to Tax-Engine.com's Electronic Filing Center, where it will be converted to and stored in a standardized format and then transmitted to the applicable federal and/or state taxing authority. Taxengine.com cannot guarantee that the taxing authority will accept your return due to circumstances beyond Taxengine.com's control (e.g., incorrect user information, malfunction of the taxing authority's system, communications system problems, etc.). You are responsible for filing your tax return in sufficient time to meet any filing deadlines and for verifying the status of your return to confirm that it has been received and accepted by the applicable taxing authority and, if necessary, for filing it manually. As an additional method for detecting fraud in tax information transmitted via the Internet, in connection with the electronic filing of your tax return the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires Taxengine.com to notify it of the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer from which the return originated and whether the email address of the person electronically filing the return has been collected. By using the Electronic Filing Services to prepare and submit your tax return, you consent to the disclosure to the IRS and any other tax or revenue authority of all information pertaining to your use of the Services.

ACCEPTANCE
The performance and validity of this Agreement shall be governed by Utah and Federal law.  By clicking the 'I Accept' button below, you acknowledge that you have read this Agreement, understand it, and agree to be bound by its terms and conditions.
